Do I need a subscription?
Every MagRec includes 600 minutes of AI transcription, translation, and summarization free, every month — no subscription needed. Recording itself is unlimited. If you need more, a Pro plan unlocks unlimited AI minutes, advanced templates, and team workspaces.
Where is my data stored?
Recordings are stored locally on MagRec by default. When you choose to transcribe or translate, audio is sent over an end-to-end encrypted connection, processed, and deleted from our servers. Your transcripts sync only to devices you own.
Will it work in my language?
MagRec is powered by ChatGPT-class language models, supporting all major European, Asian, and Middle Eastern languages for transcription and translation. Recognition accuracy depends on language, accent, speaking speed, and ambient noise — we keep improving it via free firmware and app updates. The full supported-language list will be published before shipping.
Does it record phone calls?
Yes. MagRec captures both sides of a phone call when placed near your ear or on a desk during speakerphone. Local laws on call recording vary — please record responsibly.
Is it compatible with my phone?
iOS 16+ and Android 12+. MagSafe-compatible phones snap on directly. For other phones, the included magnetic ring works on any case.
What if it doesn't work for me?
30-day return window after delivery. Full refund, no questions asked. We'll cover return shipping in most countries.
